LexHAB owns and rents single family houses, duplexes and condominium units to low and moderate income individuals or families. (In other words, it provides housing to persons making up to 80% of the median income for the Boston area for size of household as set by the federal government.) It is the first of its kind municipal organization to provide this type of affordable housing.
LexHAB's selection considerations include housing need, financial need, Lexington connection, diversity (racial, ethnic, age, family size,
etc.) and utilization of available unit.
LexHAB is seeking families of four to eight members to apply for rental single family homes. Families must meet affordable housing income guidelines. Families in single family homes must do their own yard care. For applications, call Joan Wall at the LexHAB office.
